Michael Henson serves as a California Southern Baptist Convention African-American church starting strategist in the Inland Empire and High Desert areas. His primary role is enlisting and training new church planters, their core group, and assisting existing churches in sponsoring new churches.

He is a graduate of California Baptist University, and plans to continue his studies at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Brea. He is a Vietnam veteran and pastored Berean Christian Church in Upland before beginning his new journey as a North American missionary in 2004.

He and his wife, Brenda, have two children and one grandchild.
