William Nathaniel is California Southern Baptist Convention church planting catalyst with the Language Church Starting Group. He is a statewide missionary with primary responsibilities of networking with associations and SBC churches, identifying church planters from south Asian countries, and mentoring and supporting them in starting churches among these people groups from the Indian subcontinent (i.e., India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh).

He has a bachelor's degree from Gorakhpur University, India and a master’s degree from Union Biblical Seminary in Pune, India. He also completed doctoral studies at San Francisco Theological Seminary, focusing on comparative study on pastoral care and counseling in hospitals in India and America.

William served as pastor and coordinator in social development ministry among the urban poor in Delhi and also as senior programme officer with the Christian Medical Association of India. He also was an evangelist and team leader with Operation Mobilization India for over five years before going to seminary in India. He has served with California Southern Baptist Convention since October 2007.

He is married and has two children.
