Peter Celum is the church & pastoral care specialist for California Southern Baptist Convention. His primary responsibilities include providing programs to encourage ministerial health and growth, providing support and counseling to church leaders in crisis, providing conflict mediation and crisis intervention services to churches, and assisting pastorless churches by introducing the Intentional Interim Pastor process.
Peter is a certified Christian mediator and board certified pastoral councelor. He has served as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and is an adjuct instructor with Peacemaker Ministries.
He has a bachelor’s degree in social studies and religion from Grand Canyon University Phoenix, AZ, a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Fort Worth, TX, and is a candidate for the doctor of ministry in marriage and family counseling degree from Denver Seminary Denver, CO.
He served California churches for 15 years as associate pastor of student, family, adult and education ministries.
Peter has served California Southern Baptists since March 2005. He is a native of California and is married with three children.
