Don D. Hargis is the Baptist Men’s Ministries specialist in the Missions Advancement Group of California Southern Baptist Convention. His primary job responsibilities are to help churches start new or strengthen existing men’s units. Don also is responsible for many volunteer ministries such as Disaster Relief, Baptist Builders, Campers on Mission and the mobile medical/dental unit.
He helps churches with mission education groups for men and boys such as Baptist Men on Mission, Challengers, and Royal Ambassadors. He also is responsible for coordinating a variety of events such as STRAM Camp, RAGA and On Mission Celebrations. He has served on numerous national disaster relief committees and served several times as an intentional interim for California Southern Baptist churches.
Don has a bachelor’s degree in religion from Oklahoma Baptist University and a master of divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served California Southern Baptists since 1992. He is married and has a daughter, two sons and eight grandchildren.
