Mike McCullough is the associate executive director for California Southern Baptist Convention and serves as the leader of the Missions Advancement Group.  As the associate executive director his primary responsibility is to work closely with the Executive Director in managing the operations of the Convention and its staff.  Mike is responsible for managing the Convention’s relationship with the churches it serves, as well as directing the CSBC’s strategic operations.  He works with the CSBC Executive Board in fulfilling its objectives, as well as working with Convention officers and leaders.

As the leader of the Missions Advancement Group, McCullough directs the unit’s ministries – Baptist Men’s Ministries, Woman’s Missionary Union/Women’s Ministries, Stewardship and Volunteer Mobilization.  Mike also is responsible for the promotion of Cooperative Program ministries, Southern Baptist’s primary missions support plan.

Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology form Texas A&M University and a master of social work from Louisiana State University.  He also holds a master of religious education degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Before coming to serve California Southern Baptist Convention in 1998, he served the Nevada Baptist Convention for more than 16 years as the ministry evangelism director and as editor of Nevada’s Baptist newspaper.

He is married to Sarah and has one adult son.
