Randy McWhorter is the leader of the Healthy Church Group for California Southern Baptist Convention. His primary ministry responsibility is to provide overall leadership for implementing the group’s strategy to help churches attain and maintain healthy congregations. He is responsible to ensure that Healthy Church Group consultants are well trained and able to assist ethnically diverse congregations of the CSBC as they fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
In addition to being the Group’s leader, Randy is an evangelism specialist working to ensure churches and leaders are focused and effective in all matters related to evangelism.
Randy has a bachelor’s degree in religion from California Baptist University, a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a doctorate of ministry degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.
Prior to assuming his present position, Randy spent 18 years serving two California Southern Baptist churches. He has served California Southern Baptists since August 1999. He is married and has three children.
