Five months ago, a house church in Lathrop launched its first public worship at the Holiday Inn Express in Lathrop, attended by 78 people.
I was called as pastor for the new church named Life Saving Christian Fellowship.
The house church was started May 2011 when a group of five families felt God’s call to start something new. With a passion to pursue whatever it takes to be Christ’s followers and see what He is doing in Lathrop, they joined Him there. I was asked to do coaching and lead the group.
After collaboration about its vision statement, core values and ministry assignments, a covenant was formed based on a philosophy, “It’s all because of Christ.”
