Your church Vacation Bible School offering is an opportunity for the children of your VBS to minister to other children in California this summer! And there's a video available to help churches promote the offering.

This year, California Southern Baptist Convention churches are encouraged to designate their VBS mission offering to impact children and their families through the “Feeding Those Who Feed Us” migrant ministry project. FTWFU provides clothing, shoes, school supplies and backpacks to children in California’s state-sponsored migrant centers, home to many migrant farm workers and their families. Food also is provided to these families who are some of the poorest in America.

Providing the clothing, school supplies and food for one of the 25 migrant centers costs about $3,500. By directing your VBS mission offering to Feeding Those Who Feed Us, your VBS students would be providing hope for migrant farm workers and their children in California.

Additionally, many sponsoring churches provide VBS for children and an evangelistic rally for adults. In 2010, 1,550 migrant children participated in VBS. Through VBS and evangelistic rallies, 1,212 made professions of faith.
