FRESNO - California Southern Baptist Convention wants to celebrate its congregations' "Great Commission" efforts by publishing the names of those who have been on mission trips in the past year.

The names of those who served "on mission" with their church are set to be published in a special insert in the October issue of the California Southern Baptist. Service should include mission endeavors from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.

Churches wishing to register their mission trips and participants can do so at www.csbc.com by clicking on the "Register mission trips" button in the left column. This goes to a form which will allow as many as five mission endeavors and their participants to be registered. Churches sponsoring more than five mission trips may repeat the process. Submissions must be made by Sept. 1.

Copies of the October edition of the CSB will be sent to churches so every "on mission" volunteer can receive one.

"The purpose of this activity is to celebrate how God is working through California Southern Baptists to advance Acts 1:8 and Great Commission missions and ministries," noted Fermin A. Whittaker, CSBC executive director.
