CA Women's Gathering

Guest Speaker:
Kristy Carr
is senior manager on the executive leadership team at national WMU. She has served in various roles at WMU over the past 29 years, and has a passion for encouraging Christ-followers to make disciples of Jesus who live on mission. Kristy leads 4th-6th grade Girls in Action at her church and enjoys being a Christian Women's Job Corps mentor.

Worship Leader:
Carolyn Cummings & Sandra Hughes

Sandy Hughes is a former high school English and drama teacher and current stay-at-home mom from Lake Isabella. She is married to Anthony and they have 2 girls (Rosalinda and Juanita) and 1 boy (Bennett). Sandy has been singing in churches since she was old enough for her father, Randy Bennett, to stick a microphone in her hand and tell her, "Whenever anyone asks you do to something for the Lord, say 'yes.'" She is currently serving as vice president of state WMU and volunteer children's ministry director at Mt. View Baptist Church, where on Sunday nights she leads Girls in Action.

Carolyn Cummings is a proud mother of 3 rambunctious young girls who she shares with her husband of 10 years, David. Carolyn is a member of Resurrection Church in Bakersfield. Like her twin sister Sandy Hughes, Carolyn has been blessed with a loud voice with which to praise the Lord. Carolyn believes music is a gift given to the world for the purpose of scripture memorization and singing praises to our worthy King.

This Convention serves our culturally diverse congregations as we fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
