DR Chaplain Training - Campbell
Those interested in working in a disaster area through Southern Baptist Disaster Relief must complete an orientation training course along with at least one of the focused training classes.Volunteers meeting these requirements and completing a background check will receive a California Southern Baptist Disaster Relief identification badge, a gold DR hat and tee shirt which is recognized as the Southern Baptist uniform only to be worn when deployed with a team working under Blue and White Hat leaders. This training event is for new volunteers, for those who desire to be recertified or for those who are currently certified and wish to take additional training.
CERTIFICATION CLASS: CHAPLAINCY
This training for DR chaplaincy is related to non-threatening spiritual care and emotional support for disaster survivors and team members. This discipline also provides resources for effective coping, stress management and spiritual wellness. This class includes the required New Volunteer Orientation and Operational Stress First Aid (OSFA).
Registration, ID photo and continental breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. Lunch is included.
