Ministers' Wives Retreat 2017

The theme verse for the 2017 Ministers' Wives Retreat is "You can’t hide behind a religious mask forever; sooner or later the mask will slip and your true face will be known”(Luke 12:2b,MSG) – because we all wear masks sometimes, especially in a ministry family.

The Ministers' Wives Retreat is a weekend where you can lay aside your mask and just be who God designed you to be. No one is there to judge you, grade you or ask you to help with anything. It is a time for you to relax, learn, share, rest, devote or do whatever is needed to recharge your life and reconnect with God.

The retreat has elements that will appeal to any personality or need:

  • inspiring worship
  • helpful breakout seminars
  • powerful speakers and leaders
  • energizing fellowship
  • fun recreational opportunities
  • interesting people
  • the best camp food anywhere
  • down time, if you choose (lots of down time!).

The featured speaker is Tammy Brown, wife of Matt Brown, founding pastor of Sandals Church in Riverside. Tammy has helped lead Sandals from a college worship service with a few dozen students to a multi-campus ministry that now reaches more than 7,000.

The worship leader is Hilary Varner from Valley Baptist Church in Bakersfield.

Take advantage of early bird pricing and register for only $159 through February 14.

From February 15 though April 15, registration is $179. After April 15, the cost increases to $200.

Because the retreat is subsidized by CSBC through the Cooperative Program, non-Southern Baptist churches or churches that have not contributed to the Cooperative Program in the past 12 months are not eligible for the early bird or $179 rate.

The Ministers' Wives Retreat is for any woman with a spouse in vocational ministry.

This Convention serves our culturally diverse congregations as we fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
