Mother Daughter Retreat 2018
"Train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come." - I Timothy 4:7-8
Our daily routines matter! We brush our teeth, exercise, frequent social media, visit coffee shops and eat certain foods. All these pertain to our earthly life. What routines have we designed to develop our spiritual fitness? Are we strengthening our prayer muscles? Do we have a devotional workout routine? Are we building up our endurance to stand firm against the devil's schemes?
Regular intervals of training in God's Word, consistently exercising expressions of praise, practicing sustained times of prayer, and doing reps of scripture memory can benefit our eternal "cardio" care and help us avoid getting spiritually flabby. These can help us find endurance, joy, peace and rest in uncertain, unexpected circumstances.
Join us for an exciting mother-daughter weekend designed to promote truth training and faith fitness. There will be an assortment of crafts, activities and recreation, a variety of delicious treats, and chapel sessions designed to challenge and encourage each participant in her walk, run, bike ride or workout with Jesus!
Early Bird Arrival: This is your chance to get a headstart on this amazing weekend. Come as early as 9:30 a.m. on Friday and we will include lunch and extra activities for an additional cost of only $20 per person.

Speaking and Worship – KELLYE CASH
Jenness Park is excited to host Kellye Cash for the 2018 Mother-Daughter Retreat. Kellye learned early in life to be flexible in a number of environments since she was the daughter of a US Navy fighter pilot who took their family all over the country. In 1987 Kellye had the unique opportunity of demonstrating her Christian faith while running for and achieving the title of Miss America. Following numerous civic engagements during her year as Miss America, Cash attended college and began a career as a Christian music artist and speaker. She made appearances on “The Today Show” and “Good Morning America;” has performed with her uncle, Johnny Cash; and has recorded a number of CDs. Kelley currently lives in Milan, TN with her husband Todd Sheppard, a high school teacher and volleyball coach. They have three children. Kellye is the Music Ministry Assistant at First Baptist Church in Milan and is a fitness instructor for the Milan Y. Additionally, she teaches piano and voice lessons and coaches for a creative problem-solving competition.
