Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions is taken in Southern Baptist churches as part of a Week of Prayer for International Missions in late November and/or early December each year.  The offering is named in honor of Lottie Moon who served as a missionary in China for more than 30 years.  Without this offering international mission efforts of Southern Baptists would cease to exist.  The International Mission Board (IMB) sets a national goal and individual churches are encouraged to observe the Week of Prayer and to participate in giving to this vital offering.  The Lottie Mon offering provides more than half of IMB's operating budget with every penny going to support more than 5,000 international missionaries serving around the world.  For more information about this offering and Lottie Moon, go to www.wmu.org.  The International Mission Study resources may be ordered through Woman's Missionary Union at 1.800.968.7301.
