Youth Bible Drill and Speakers’ Tournament is an exciting and fun way to help students in the 7th – 12th grades engage with God’s Word and become better disciples and communicators.
Youth Bible Drill is for students in the 7th – 9th grades and involves memorizing 30 verses along with the Biblical concepts that relate to the verses. The drill use a variety of styles to help students locate these verses as well as any verse in the Bible in eight seconds or less. Youth Speakers Tournament is for students in the 10th – 12th grades. Students must create and deliver a four to six minute speech on a topic chosen from an annual list of topics. Bible Drill and Speakers’ Tournament consist of three levels of accomplishment: church drills, associational drills, and state finals. These are conducted in March through April each year. Churches will usually start training in November to January.
In 2014, the State Finals will be held at First Chinese Baptist Church, Los Angeles on April 12, 2014.
