California Southern Baptist Convention is a fellowship of some 450,000 members in approximately 2,300 language and multi-ethnic congregations that cooperate with the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in America. Each week throughout California some 80 language groups are represented in the Convention.

The world has come to California. With over 200 languages spoken here, we are proud to be the most richly diverse state across the nation. Yet the task of reaching the 34 million lost in California can feel daunting. Our collective of 2,300 Southern Baptist churches stand as a beacon of hope, working cooperatively to spread The Gospel in California’s diverse and ever-changing landscape. The California Southern Baptist Convention, nestled in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, is here, ready to resource faith leaders from all corners of the state to accomplish their Kingdom call in their unique context because we know that when we reach California, we reach the world for Christ.
